Vital Signs Camera - Philips App Reviews

Works but data is isolated

The app works, but all you can do with the data is post it to Twitter. Not sure why I would do that... Would very much like to see this data shareable with the iPhone Health app. These measurements are far less valuable viewed in isolation than in context of how much sleep Ive gotten, what medications Ive taken, etc. I may have to find an alternative app, not because Im unhappy with this one but so I can get this feature.

Disappointing

Um, why cant a person use their camera in normal mode? Being forced to use the front camera doesnt allow this app to be used on anyone other than the person holding the phone/camera. Who cares about disturbing another when getting vitals if the person having their vitals read has to be the one hold the camera? Makes zero sense. I could check my own heart rate and respiratory rate for free! Fix this and maybe people can actually benefit from the technology ... and add Dropbox or other synch features, exporting from iTunes is not sufficient.

Need my money back

2 weeks ago I purchase the new iPad Air 2, even if I have a MacBook Pro. For one reason, because iPad supports a lot of apps out there, compared to MacBook, especially in the field of nursing or medical field. Then my wife happen to buy this app (the vital sign camera by Philips). The problem is, I cant even open it. I need help with this.

One complaint

It is fun to use, for one who is reasonably healthy, however, it starts reading way too soon. It would be better to wait until your face is in right position and then let us touch read. Thanks!

Five Stars if it shared with HealthKit

This app shows so much promise, but unfortunately at this time is limited in capacity. It is simply awe inspiring to take your vitals as simply as you take a selfie. Its truly groundbreaking. Well, it would be, with just a few usability and connectability tweaks. For instance, not sharing with HealthKit is such a huge negative in my eyes, it deserves a -2 star knock for that alone. I centralize everything in HealthKit and Im sure many users like me as well. And as other users mentioned, ability to use the better specd back camera to take vitals on people other than yourself is a big neg too. Wouldnt it be incredible for in field clinicians and EMTs to compress some gadgets in their toolkit to an iPhone? Sure thats a little simplistic, but underscores a vision where with intelligent apps, a family can take more control of their health by easily monitoring their vitals on a device that is always with them. That optimistic vision is at this moment in April 2016, deployed as an underwhelming reality. Philips, you are Philips! You can do this right! :-)
